Middlesex League newcomers Northwood were hammered by the champions at Brookside but at least had their moment of glory by scoring first through Dave Horsford.

Derek West (2), Alan Wiggins, Charlie Barton and Taffy Chamber scored for Harefield, whilst Barry Gould got Northwood’s second goal.
